Gyrokinesis Level 1 Pre-training Course with Pre-Trainer Maurizio Chisari from Movimento Studio Sydney

This course is open to all aspiring Gyrokinesis trainers. This course provides a foundational understanding of the Gyrokinesis Level 1 exercises and prepare you physically for the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Foundation Course. During this course, you will focus on gaining experience and developing a personal understanding of the exercises on the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Pre-Training Course exercise list.

Upon successful completion:
You are qualified to proceed to the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Foundation Course.
Pre-requisite: at least 10hrs of Gyrokinesis classes

Gyrokinesis Level 1 Foundation Course

Gyrokinesis Level 1 Foundation Course with Master Trainer Rita Renha from Gyrotonic Brasil.

This course is open to all aspiring Gyrokinesis trainers who have already taken the Gyrokinesis L1 Pre-Training Course.

This course provides a more in depth understanding of the exercises in the Gyrokinesis level 1 format 1 & 2 class. It also provides students with the specific skills and techniques to teach these exercise sequences to others. During this course, Master Trainer Rita Renha will introduce the principles, and teaching techniques of the Gyrokinesis level 1 exercise syllabus.

Upon successful completion:
You are considered a Gyrokinesis Level 1 Apprentice and are granted a trademark license that allows you to teach Gyrokinesis classes as an apprentice. The apprenticeship license is valid for 1 year and you will fulfill all apprenticeship requirements and complete the Gyrokinesis Final Certificate Course.

Pre-requisite: Gyrokinesis L1 Pre-Training Course.

This course is for licensed GYROTONIC® Trainers who have completed the GYROTONIC® Applications for the Pelvic Girdle Course

This course was developed by Physiotherapist, Paul Horvath who has utilized the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methods with orthopedic patients at the Rheintalklinik in Bad Krozingen, Germany. In this course students will review basic terms and anatomy associated with the cervical spine and shoulder-arm axis. Students will learn about common pathologies of the cervical spine, and the shoulder-arm axis and will build on this conceptual framework with practical Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis exercise applications.

Course Description
In this course Gyrotonic Trainers learn the Gyrotonic Level 2, Program 1 exercise sequences. The course builds on the level Gyrotonic, Level I curriculum, by introducing more challenging, endurance building exercise sequences including: an advanced hamstring series with a focus on cardiovascular endurance, an advanced handle unit series in multiple standing positions, and handle unit sequences in more challenging variations of the level 1 sitting positions, a level 2 traction series, an advanced upper body series in standing positions , and an advanced abdominal series.

Course Description
This course provides a conscious experience of core connections to the 3 dimensional body. Using current movement science, the course will touch upon anatomical and neurological concepts and how they relate to a moving body and to what one is feeling during movement.Adapted exercises promote sensory awareness. Students deepen their comprehension of concepts such as “connecting the ribcage”, “softening the sternum,” “engaging the armpit” and ultimately “narrowing” and “suppling.”This course will lead to a deeper experience of the Gyrotonic Method's unique and masterful approach to "rethink" the body- not a bi-dimensional body, but rather a tri-dimensional body, a body that functions organically, and that moves from within.

Gyrotonic Level 1 Supervised Apprentice Review Course

Prerequisite
Successful completion of the Gyrotonic Level 1 Foundation Course

Upon successful completion
Once Apprentices have successfully completed all of the apprenticeship requirements, over a period of 6 mo.-1 year, they can proceed to the Gyrotonic Level 1 Final Certificate Course. At least two weeks must elapse between the last day of the apprenticeship review course and the final certificate course. 

Purpose
This course aims to help Gyrotonic Level I Apprentices expand their experience and understanding of the Gyrotonic Level 1 Foundation Course material and to prepare them for the Gyrotonic Level 1 Final Certificate Course. The apprenticeship period lasts a minimum of six months and a maximum of one year. During the apprenticeship period, students are required to complete 60 “teaching client” hours and a minimum of 30 supervised apprenticeship course hours. Apprentices complete their supervised apprenticeship review course hours under the guidance and supervision of a Gyrotonic Master Trainer either in the form of a six day Gyrotonic Apprenticeship Course or by re-taking the Gyrotonic Foundation Course.
